Water is the starting point of human life. 65% of our body consists of water. Water is a basic nutrient for the continuance of our life. The temperature balance of our body, the continuance of the cell-internal life, the burning and digestion of the foods is depending on water. If water is consumed too shortly, it will cause serious health problems.
In case of low consumption of water, the fat rate in our body will increase; the duty of our livers will become harder and strive to substitute the kidney since the kidney doesn’t receive sufficient water. The liver whose job is to convert the fat stocks into energy will limp and the melting of the fats will slow down.
Water is also effective in the clearing of the toxins in our bodies. It mixes faster with the blood when drank cold.
An adult looses daily about 10 glasses of water. This is why the lost water has to be replaced. Even though we think that we meet our water requirement through other beverages we should know that coffee, tea or cola drinks are actually diuretic and cause our bodies to loose water which our bodies necessitate.
Water doesn’t content calories. Thus it is a beverage which comes in the foreground especially in diets. Additionally the fact that water helps to burn the fat, clears the toxins, is an aspect that shouldn’t be aggravated especially in diets and exercises. Since, in case of excessive water consumption, our bodies may also loose the vitamins that our bodies need. While crystal substances in the water may build up in case of excessive consumption which may cause stony remainders in the kidneys.
In diets or exercises made for health purposes, it will be more helpful if water is drunk half an hour after the exercise or fifteen minutes after the exercise is completed.
The basic problem is that even if water is indispensable in our life we are unable to develop a culture of drinking water. We should grow in the culture of drinking water both for ourselves and our children. We should keep water close at our hands whether if at work or at home. We should even remind ourselves to drink water. Instead of getting water from daily beverages we should drink water as it is without any mixtures.
